CRAFTSMANSHIP THROUGH THE AGES.
Our story begins in 1750, when the first carriages and farm wagons were made in the cartwright's workshop in Oud-Beijerland. We built these wooden wagons to customer specifications with craftsmanship and dedication.
CUSTOM MADE
Back in the early 1980s we made products to customer specifications and were known for our attention to detail. This formed the basis for building mobile units suitable for housing medical equipment. Smit soon gained an international name as leading manufacturer of mobile and relocatable units, suitable for MRI scanners, CT scanners and PET/CT scanners.
Smit became part of the American Kentucky Trailer group in 2015.
